Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department was founded in 2010, in Marmara University, Faculty of Technology. The aim of the department is, training engineers who can take an active role in academic activities, contribute to scientific and technological developments in national and international levels, responds to the needs of industry and have practice-based knowledge and skills as well as theoretical knowledge.

 Unlike other Engineering Faculty, our department has a program that adopts the “Industry Training” tendency. In recent years, in the world some universities have that program as a compulsory; some of them have it as an elective for half term or full term. Students have a chance to work in an industrial environment while they continue their Undergraduate education. It is an important experience for their career plans. "Industry training" process is also important as shaping their working lives in future and giving idea. Projects and work areas which are selected by the students during the engineering training also create an important reference for employers.
